Turn a list of frequencies into a CHIRP file
Upload any file with frequencies in it — an ICS-205 or 217, a club repeater list, a
spreadsheet, a plain text list. PDF, Excel (.xlsx), CSV or text.
You get a CHIRP CSV. Import it wherever you like in your radio.
A structured ICS-205 or 217 gives the most — explicit transmit frequencies and tones, read
straight from the form (PDF or Excel, including a workbook with both a 205 and a 217 sheet). Any
other list — a Word doc, a club page, a spreadsheet, a text file — we read for its
frequencies and work out the rest the usual way (output plus offset). We can also pull a frequency
table printed inside an image (a coverage map, a scanned table); a faint or handwritten scan
may not come through.
Receive and transmit are taken exactly as the plan states them — no offsets are inferred.
Tone squelch is used only where the plan actually asks for it. Anything we cannot express in a
CHIRP file (a trunked talkgroup, say) is listed, not dropped in silence.
